About Activities
"The art of teaching is the art of assisting discovery."
ACTIVITIES YOU CAN EXPECT FROM LEARN THRU PLAY
My expertise is creativity with infants and toddlers. Art is an important part of a child's development. Art nurtures a child's imagination and sparks individual creativity. It builds the levels of exploration and experimentation that a child allows for him or herself.
At Learn Thru-Play, children's art work is based on process and not product because it fosters a sense of accomplishment.
After each project, there will be a notice on the parent wall to let you know why that was a "BRIGHT IDEA". Each week projects will be displayed on my website and put in their 3 year photo album.
More projects will be added as the year goes by. Each one is designed for your child to strengthen their: fine/large motor skills, eye/hand coordination, outside time (fresh air), mathematical concepts, language, opposites, 5 senses, cause and effect, make their own decisions and choices, creative expression, sensory experience, different physical experiences, new sensations, problem solving, socialization, learning diverse colors of the world, stickiness, using two hands, learning colors, comprehending, intellectual skills, exploring nature, exploring a new object, animal names, and focusing.
