My Philosophy
Learn Thru Play is a registered Family Child Care home that believes in the best beginnings for your little one in a safe, creative and nurturing environment with a "Home like setting" to children of working parents. Parents are to feel comfortable leaving their children as well as children themselves looking forward to coming each and every day.
Learn Thru Play recognizes that the first three years of life are an extraordinary time that sets the stage for all the years that follow. My Curriculum is a "Developmental play based learning program" for children ages 6 weeks to 3 years. My focus is to promote learning in a small mixed infant/toddler group in a safe world rich with opportunities to actively experience and enjoy. The children will acquire new skills and an understanding of the world and themselves through play, exploration and living each day. All hands-on activities have an emphasis on what the child gains in the process rather than on the creation of the product or result.
Parent partnerships are also top importance here at my child care. My program offers services that fit parents' child care needs, and each family feels welcome and a part of the child care. I believe that parents know their child the best. Since I spend so much time with your child I also want to be able to provide that secure attachment and bond while he/she is in my care. I can do this successfully by having a "STRONG PARENT PARTNERSHIP".
